CLICK HERE TO DONATE TO HELP THE BULINDI CHIMPANZEES The Bulindi chimpanzees are one of many imperilled communities of wild chimpanzees clinging to survival in disappearing habitat surrounding the Budongo Forest Reserve in Western Uganda. Dr Matt McLennan began studying the chimpanzees at Bulindi in 2006. Since that time almost all their forest home has been converted to farmland, particularly for tobacco and rice cash crops, forcing the chimpanzees into competition and conflict with local people. Our videos illustrate how this remarkable community of resilient great apes is adapting to a rapidly-changing landscape surrounded by people and agriculture. |
